Data Center Technician, ADC InfraOps DCO

AWS is looking for fully cleared Data Center Technicians to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. These technicians resolve and troubleshoot a wide range of data center infrastructure issues including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems.

• Engage in physical data center activities, including planning and tracking capacity, rack deployment, rack cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning.
• Perform tasks such as lifting and moving material up to 49 pounds, working in cramped or elevated locations, bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day, ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely, working in a noisy environment, and working shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations.

• Take ownership of technical issues brought by the customer base, engaging other teams when needed to drive resolution.
• Show a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Resolve problems at their root and understand the broader context.
• Maintain service level agreements through proactive issue detection and reporting.
• Act proactively in the absence of direction or support.
• Improve effectiveness through process innovation.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or A+ / CND / Network+ / Security+ certification.
• US citizen with a current, active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

• Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).
• Hands-on experience with one or more hardware platforms (e.g., Dell, HP).
• Networking experience with CCNA and/or Network+ certifications.
• Associate’s degree in an IT‑related field plus at least two years of progressively responsible experience.
