Overview
Glia Cell is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer on a full-time basis to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that sustains critical mission-related software and systems on a large government contract.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and select appropriate data sets for machine learning projects.
- Perform statistical analysis and run machine learning algorithms.
- Use results to improve models; train and retrain systems when needed.
- Work with various ML libraries and packages; verify data and model output quality.
- Provide system integration oversight and oversee testing and evaluation of AI/ML algorithms through an iterative design process to meet verification and validation requirements.
- Research and implement a broad range of AI and ML algorithms and tools.
- Design or select appropriate data and knowledge representation methods; recognize software architecture, data modelling, and data structures.
- Transform and convert data science prototypes into scalable solutions.
- Identify differences in data distribution that affect model performance.
- Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance. (This position requires in-scope poly, within 7 years)
- U.S. Citizenship
- 5+ years of experience and a Master’s or Ph.D. in math, artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, or deep learning from an accredited college or university; or 5 additional years of machine learning experience with a relevant Bachelor's degree may be substituted for a Master’s degree.
- Experience with standard machine learning frameworks, e.g., PyTorch, Tensor Flow
- Work well independently as well as on a team; strong communication skills
Annapolis Junction, Maryland (Partial Telework of 16 hours per week is expected)
Note on TeleworkTelework granted for this position does not become available until after the individual has been in the position for a period of time, has acclimated to tasking/duties, and has meaningful work that can be done remotely. Telework can also be removed at any time.
SalaryThe salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 to $260,000. Salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries across our projects. Your salary within the range is determined by your benefits package selection.
