Tydings is searching for the role of a Help Desk / Jr. System Administrator to support technology needs in the downtown Baltimore MD office. A great opportunity for those
Essential FunctionsHelpdesk support:
- Provide desktop application support including Microsoft Office 365 (Word), Windows 10/11, iManage work, Edge, Aderant, and other business and legal applications.
- Provide physical support on various hardware, including PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, telephones, mobile devices, dictation devices, and other peripherals in a Windows and Citrix environment. This includes preparing and installing laptops/desktops and working with vendors to maintain/fix user equipment.
- Assist users with conference room set up.
- Responsible for training employees on firm technologies.
Assist with various tasks and network projects such as
- Migration of on-premises applications/servers to Azure.
- Configure Intune Mobile device management to laptops and mobile devices.
- Deploy Windows virtual desktops to the cloud.
- Deploy Hyper-V to replace VMware.
- Configure FIDO based two factor authentication.
- Administration of Azure and Microsoft cloud-based technology.
- Administering and configuring switches, firewalls, SANS, routers, Citrix | VDI, and other technology.
- Maintain active directory, Azure, and other Microsoft network infrastructure.
Assist in system-related maintenance and testing of new or upgraded applications.
- Desire to professionally develop IT skill set by enrolling into self-guided computer-based trainings and interest in tackling projects out of comfort zone or education level.
- Vendor Certifications such as, A+, and Network+ or equivalent work experience.
- Solid understanding of desktop and network virtualization.
- Ability to respond quickly to, troubleshoot, and resolve end-user issues with patience and great customer service.
- Proven written and verbal communications skills, including an ability to provide a synopsis to the Director of information technology.
- Experience troubleshooting desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, Anti-Virus, etc.
This position is primarily an onsite role with the possibility of a very limited remote from home option.
