Overview
AWS is seeking a Network Deployment Build Lead to help drive the stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks and support capacity scaling across several data center locations. The role involves working closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Build out first level router‑aggregates, console network for new rooms, and support network scaling projects.
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including device configuration and low‑level application interactions.
- Travel up to 60% within geographical work area; additional travel may be required, including internationally.
- Troubleshoot cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
- Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
- Participate in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Move and lift computer equipment up to 50 lbs.
1. Provide first‑level networking devices to serve customer racks, tracking rack intake and delivery, coordinating with onsite teams for rack space, power, and cooling, and partnering with network engineers for configuration.
2. Build console and room builds, working across teams to increase space and capacity for customer racks.
3. Work with infrastructure and scaling peers to build higher‑level networking devices.
Basic Qualifications- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience in computer networking.
- Experience working with Linux operating systems.
Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds. - Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Can work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).

BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is $30.00 - $54.00 USD hourly. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
