Senior Linux Systems Administrator

Overview

ARSIEM Corporation provides technical solutions to multiple U.S. government agencies. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join a diverse team that delivers end-to-end software, systems, and network engineering services for Integrated Discovery Operations (IDO). The incumbent will oversee a modern Dev Ops architecture and support the mission while improving availability, reliability, and security.

• Design, maintain, and support operations and maintenance activities of a large enclave comprising hardware, software, and network components, including server architecture, virtual machines, managed switches, NAS, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Develop and implement strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture and technology with minimal impact.
• Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.

• Network administration including installing, configuring, and maintaining network devices; configuring various routing protocols, troubleshooting multi-hop connectivity, throughput, and latency; setting up firewalls.
• Responsible for secure infrastructure and vulnerability corrections, data security, compliance, and backups and recovery.
• Maintain SSPs, STS requirements via RMF, Netseer, SEAR logging, patching, IAVMs, McAfee, and UAM.
• Provide user-level support, including interacting with system-savvy developers and analysts, resolving network, computer, and virtual system issues and anomalies.
• Maintain enclave documentation (network diagram, system names, IP addresses, barcodes, etc.); provide monthly activity reports to include system outages.
• Experience deploying and maintaining nginx; system monitoring platforms like OpenVAS, Prometheus, and Grafana; SELinux and FIPS.
• Knowledge of Latte Art/Biscotti, Netseer, SEAR logging.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 11‑years of relevant experience or equivalent.

• Familiarity with Docker, MongoDB, and Elastic Search;
  Ansible and Git Lab;
  Red Hat Satellite.
• Working knowledge of software‑defined networks.

$177,000 – $198,000 a year.
