Job Overview

DEVOPS ENGINEER – Transform technology into opportunity at GDIT.

Responsibilities

Deploy and maintain distributed web applications using Docker Swarm and Git Lab CI/CD.
Provision and manage virtual machines (VMs) and AWS resources.
Write and maintain Terraform and Ansible scripts for infrastructure automation.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot outages.
Configure and maintain NiFi, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, HAProxy, and Java / Spring Boot environments.
Work with Linux-based systems.
Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotations as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
15+ years of related experience in Dev Ops and software engineering.
TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance (maintain or ability to obtain).
US citizenship required.
Experience with Docker Compose, Git, Linux, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and virtual machine provisioning.

Benefits

Salary range: $164,382 – $212,750 (based on experience, location, and contract).

Scheduled weekly hours: 40, with no travel required.

Telecommuting options:
Hybrid (up to one day per week).

Work location:

USA – MD Annapolis Junction (additional remote options possible).
