Desktop Engineer

Job Description:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent IT experience.
• 5+ years of experience in desktop engineering, desktop support, or endpoint management.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise Windows environments.
• Strong experience creating, maintaining, and optimizing Windows desktop images.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and endpoint issues.

• Strong experience with:
  • Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Desktop/laptop engineering
  • Windows imaging and deployment
  • Software packaging and deployment
  • Endpoint management solutions
  • Power Shell scripting and automation
  • Hardware and software lifecycle management
• Experience building optimized Windows images for enterprise users.
• Experience creating software installation packages for desktop deployment and VDI environments.
• Experience maintaining VDI master images.
• Experience working with VMware vSphere environments.
• Experience implementing automation to reduce manual IT processes.
• Knowledge of Windows Defender and endpoint security practices.
• Experience evaluating and standardizing hardware and software solutions.
• Experience maintaining software currency and patch management programs.
• Experience designing and supporting conference room AV technology.

• Experience with:
  • Ivanti Endpoint Manager (EPM)
  • Ivanti Neurons
  • VMware technologies
  • Windows security hardening
  • Enterprise deployment tools

• CompTIA A+
