Chenega Services and Federal Solutions, LLC., a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a FIBWA Training Coordinator to serve as the primary instructor and coordinator for Field Identification of Biological Warfare Agents (FIBWA) training programs supporting Department of Defense field detection and biosurveillance missions. The position is responsible for operational coordination, execution, maintenance, and continuous improvement of training programs focused on biological threat detection methodologies, environmental and clinical biosurveillance, laboratory diagnostics, and biological warfare agent detection.

The incumbent oversees training delivery, curriculum development, laboratory operations, equipment management, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, technology integration, student assessment activities, and operational mission support while supporting training conducted within BSL-1 and BSL-2 laboratory environments.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external Government agencies to schedule and manage training requests including answering inquiries via phone, e-mail, and in-person. Engage with stakeholders to identify training needs and requirements and provide opportunities for them to provide feedback (e.g., surveys, meetings, or e-mailed feedback).
  • Shall oversee the daily operations of the USAMRIID and FIBWA classroom and teaching laboratory spaces. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to procurement, inventory, ordering, and supply management; instrument SOPs, calibration and maintenance of scientific equipment; training of support staff; maintenance of inventory and property records in collaboration with the hand receipt holder, and ensuring projects are performed in compliance with DoD/Army safety procedures, CLIP, GLP and other applicable regulations.

    Will maintain account access required to complete these tasks in applicable DoD systems including but not limited to DMLSS, ECAT, Logicole, EDMS, ATRRS, GFEBS, G-invoicing, and Teams.
  • Shall develop and maintain Point of Instructions (POIs) for each course in collaboration with DSD SMEs and FIBWA Program Director in support of the accreditation processes and course objectives. This shall include ongoing updates to current curriculum, presentations, and integration of advancing technologies and best practices. At least annually, review curriculum for refresh based on advancing technologies and customer demand in coordination with DSD leadership and the FIBWA Program Director.

    Provide completed reviews, updates identified and completed curriculum to TPOC at least twice per year in Quarter 1 and Quarter 3 for each Fiscal Year.
  • Shall plan and execute complex training scenarios as the primary instructor for the FIBWA courses (designated and ad hoc courses based on customer demand). This includes writing protocol plans, validation of protocols prior to implementation with results review and analysis, troubleshooting of unexpected results, and resolution of any encountered issues. Training scenarios must be scheduled and reviewed and the protocol reports provided to the TPOC at least one month prior to execution for scheduled courses.

    Is responsible for coordination of guest speakers with advance notice and subsequent confirmation of directions, access requirements, presentation time, and presentation requirements. Course content will be executed in alignment with the FIBWA Program Director’s intent.
