This position is responsible for interpreting/translating English to/from Spanish to the Hispanic community. This employee is considered essential and must be available to report to work during an emergency or catastrophic event.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience:

Six months of experience providing formal interpretation and translation services between English and a second language. Formal interpretation services may include documented work as a volunteer interpreter for a nonprofit, human service or faith-based organization.

Notes:

The selected candidate must be certified as a medical interpreter.

• Proficient Technical skills (Google, Microsoft, Excel)
• Strong communications skills both written and oral
• Good time management skills

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
