Longeviti is searching for a Logistics Analyst Level II with an active Secret clearance to support the US Army at Fort Detrick in Frederick, MD.
DESCRIPTIONThe Logistics Analyst II supports medical logistics operations by analyzing, developing, and improving logistics processes related to production, distribution, inventory management, and supply chain performance. This position assists in optimizing workflow, reducing operational costs, and ensuring timely delivery of medical supplies and equipment while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Logistics Analyst II works under general supervision and applies knowledge of medical logistics principles, inventory management, and distribution processes to support mission readiness and organizational objectives.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze logistics operations and develop workflow improvements that enhance production, distribution, and inventory management processes.
- Develop, review, and recommend procedures to improve distribution efficiency and inventory control while minimizing operational costs.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment strategies to ensure product availability and reduce shortages or excess inventory.
- Support medical logistics operations by tracking the movement of medical supplies, equipment, and materials throughout the supply chain.
- Analyze logistics data and prepare reports to identify trends, forecast requirements, and support management decision‑making.
- Assist in coordinating transportation, warehousing, receiving, storage, and distribution activities.
- Ensure inventory records and logistics documentation are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Identify process improvement opportunities that increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and government personnel to resolve logistics and inventory issues.
- Utilize logistics management systems and inventory databases to maintain accountability and visibility of assets.
- Support audits, inventories, and quality assurance initiatives as required.
- Perform other logistics and supply chain duties as assigned.
- Average of four (4) years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, inventory control, or medical logistics.
- Working knowledge of medical logistics concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience analyzing logistics data and developing recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working under general supervision.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Veterans Affairs (VA), or other federal medical logistics programs.
- Familiarity with automated logistics, warehouse, or inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of supply chain performance metrics and continuous process improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting regulated medical supply or healthcare logistics environments.
- Active Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
SALARY RANGE- $58,0000 USD - $71,000 USD. However, Longeviti considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
