Role Description

The Parts Specialist manages the day-to-day operations of the branch parts department. This role involves assisting customers with parts selection, processing parts orders, maintaining accurate inventory, and coordinating with service and sales teams to support equipment maintenance and operations. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple tasks while supporting both customers and internal teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, assisting clients with parts selection, pricing, and availability.
  • Answer incoming calls and greet customers in the parts department with professionalism.
  • Research parts in the inventory system to ensure correct orders.
  • Stock incoming inventory and maintain organized storage for easy retrieval.
  • Communicate with the Parts Manager about inventory levels, special orders, and restocking needs.
  • Collaborate with the service team to anticipate parts requirements and support efficient workflow.
  • Make realistic commitments to customers and communicate proactively if delays or issues arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of all parts sales, returns, and inventory adjustments.
  • Cross-train as needed to support service or rental operations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Educational & Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related experience in parts sales, inventory management, or service support.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Bobcat® or other construction equipment parts.
  • Familiarity with dealership management systems or inventory software.
  • Ability to support cross-functional operations including service, rental, and sales departments.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds and may infrequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. This position is considered safety sensitive.
