We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to serve as the single point of contact for all health, safety, and quality control initiatives across our construction projects. This role is responsible for creating consistency, structure, and best-in-class safety standards across all jobsites while supporting the total physical and mental well-being of our employees.
The ideal candidate is goal-driven, proactive, and collaborative—working closely with project managers, site managers, and field teams to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and continuously improve safety performance company-wide.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary authority for all health and safety matters across projects
- Ensure consistent implementation of safety programs and OSHA compliance
- Conduct weekly jobsite walks, inspections, and audits
- Maintain and manage all safety documentation, including:
- OSHA 300 logs
- Incident, injury, hazard, and near-miss reports
- PPE compliance
- AHA’s, pre-task planning, and toolbox talks
- Ensure all incidents are reported, investigated, and addressed immediately
- Lead safety orientations for new hires and conduct 30/60/90-day safety evaluations
- Manage behavior-based safety observations and conduct daily field oversight
- Analyze safety data weekly and communicate trends monthly company-wide
- Lead quarterly safety committee meetings and attend weekly site manager meetings
- Coordinate with rigging companies on rigging and critical lift plans
- Track and evaluate safety investments and guide future expenditures
- Maintain all required safety and equipment training certifications
- Ensure emergency action plans are in place at all jobsites
- Ensure required federal and state labor law postings are present
- Oversee driver safety, fleet safety, DOT compliance, and CDL training (as applicable)
- Ensure traffic control plans are in place and flagging certifications are current
- Monitor quality control reporting and compliance
- Support company safety goals (e.g., Diamond STEP level by 2026)
- Represent the company professionally at industry events and in all communications
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- OSHA 30 certification (required)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety regulations
- Experience in construction safety management preferred
- Ability to lead, influence, and work collaboratively with field teams
- Strong organizational, documentation, and analytical skills
- Total human health–focused mindset (physical and mental well-being)
- Comfortable working in active construction environments
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between jobsites
- Lead by example and foster a strong safety culture
- Support and guide project teams with a “Do What It Takes” mentality
- Protect employee safety while supporting client relationships and company goals
- Construction site-based role with exposure to weather, dust, noise, and other jobsite conditions
- One in-office day per week (Friday) for reporting and communications
- Monday–Friday, typically 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Schedule may vary based on project requirements
- Monthly gas and vehicle allowance (taxed) until company vehicle is provided
- 10 days PTO
- Compensation commiserate with experience in the range of $90,000 - $130,000 annually.
