Mechanical Project Manager

Overview

Well-established contractor is seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team. This permanent role provides the opportunity to contribute across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and sheet metal disciplines. You will be responsible for quality control, budgeting, strategic planning, team leadership, and project planning.

Salary $100,000 - $120,000 per year.

• Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of mechanical projects in the construction industry, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Develop and implement project plans, including defining project scope, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress.
• Coordinate and oversee the work of the project team, including subcontractors and vendors.
• Conduct quality control to ensure the work meets the required standards and specifications.
• Manage project budget, including estimating costs, setting budgets, and controlling expenses.
• Provide strategic planning for the execution of projects, including risk management and problem-solving.
• Lead and motivate the project team to achieve project goals and objectives.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and management to provide project updates and address any issues or concerns.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Continually identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in the construction industry.
• Proven experience in managing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and sheet metal projects.
• Strong knowledge of quality control, budgeting, strategic planning, team leadership, and project planning.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues promptly and effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is a plus.
