Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Position Overview

Warner Mechanical, a Division of R.W. Warner, Inc., is looking for an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join their team! The APM supports Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical and plumbing construction projects. This is a developmental role designed for individuals looking to grow into full project management responsibilities. The APM assists with scheduling, cost tracking, documentation, and field coordination while independently managing smaller projects or defined scopes under supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage small projects or assigned scopes from startup through closeout with Project Manager oversight
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor coordination
  • Maintain and track project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, drawing updates, change orders, and logs
  • Support cost control efforts, including invoice review and pay application preparation
  • Coordinate with field teams by communicating schedule updates, material requirements, and design clarifications
  • Perform site visits to monitor progress, verify work, and assist in resolving field issues
Qualifications
  • Experience in mechanical, plumbing, or general construction
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and understand project workflows
  • Basic understanding of cost tracking and project financials
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Prior experience as a Project Administrator or similar role preferred
