About the Role
Advanced Window is seeking a Pre-Construction Project Manager to lead and coordinate preconstruction activities for commercial glazing projects throughout the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia region.
This role is ideal for someone with 2–5 years of experience in curtain wall, storefront, and entrance systems who understands submittals, shop drawings, and contract review.
Responsibilities- Manage all preconstruction deliverables from sales handoff through field turnover
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Oversee submittals, shop drawings, and drafting for compliance
- Maintain project schedules (Gantt charts), KPIs, and risk registers
- Coordinate vendor submittals and material releases
- Manage RFIs, change requests, and scope deviations
- Lead project turnover meetings with field teams
- Communicate proactively with clients and internal stakeholders
- 2–5 years of commercial glazing project management experience
- Experience with curtain wall, storefront, and entrance systems required
- Familiarity with stick systems (YKK, Kawneer, Tubelite); unitized a plus
- Experience managing submittals and shop drawing reviews
- Ability to interpret construction documents independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Familiarity with Procore, Plan Grid, Autodesk, Bluebeam preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
