Overview
As a Senior Cost Manager at Linesight, you will work with experienced, diverse teams, gain industry experience, and contribute to the company’s business strategy. You will be mentored by industry leaders and given the tools to grow and take ownership of your career progression.
Responsibilities- Actively participate in the tender/bid process – from initial documentation through analysis and reporting.
- Manage the change management process by identifying, analysing, approving, and implementing changes that affect project cost.
- Analyse tenders and bids to ensure client value for money.
- Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, handling any claims to ensure the client obtains the best value from works undertaken.
- Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
- Oversee project spend by preparing valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicating variations to the team.
- Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.
- Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
- Foster top performance and growth for employees through excellent mentorship and leadership.
- Experience as a Senior Cost Manager, ideally from a consultancy background.
- Proven pre‑contract cost management experience, including budget control, cost planning, and initiation of change forms for discussion with project stakeholders. Knowledge of alternative construction materials is required.
- Chartered status or on the path to completion – Linesight can assist.
- Degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage own priorities and deadlines.
- Strong relationship‑building with team and clients through shared purpose and openness.
The salary range for this role is $ – $ USD; the actual offer will depend on experience, education, and skillset.
