Sky Zone Frederick, MD About the Role

Sky Zone Frederick, MD, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead all aspects of park operations, revenue growth, team development, and guest experience. This leader will be responsible for driving membership growth, maximizing profitability, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring operational excellence while delivering safe, fun, and memorable experiences for our guests.

The General Manager serves as the business leader for the park and is accountable for achieving financial, operational, and people-focused objectives.

What You'll Do Drive Business Growth

Lead initiatives to increase memberships, membership retention, birthday parties, group events, and overall park revenue.

Develop and execute local marketing and community engagement strategies.

Analyze business performance and implement action plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Lead Operations Excellence

Oversee daily park operations to ensure a safe, clean, and engaging guest environment.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operating procedures.

Maintain facility readiness and operational efficiency.

Drive continuous process improvements that enhance guest satisfaction and operational performance.

Build and Develop High-Performing Teams

Recruit, hire, train, coach and retain exceptional team members.

Create a positive, inclusive, and accountability-driven culture.

Develop future leaders through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and recognition.

Own park P&L performance and accountability.

Manage labor, inventory, and operating expenses to achieve financial targets.

Forecast staffing and business needs to maximize profitability.

Utilize data and reporting to make informed business decisions.

Protect Company Assets

Implement controls to minimize fraud, waste, and abuse.

Monitor cash handling, inventory management, refunds, discounts, and operational compliance.

Conduct routine audits and ensure adherence to company policies.

Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and operational discipline.

Deliver Exceptional Guest Experiences

Champion a guest-first mindset throughout the organization.

Resolve escalated guest concerns effectively and professionally.

Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements that enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications

Required

5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, entertainment, retail, fitness, restaurant, or family entertainment environments.

Proven experience managing a P&L and achieving financial goals.

Demonstrated success leading teams of 30+ employees.

Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and operational leadership experience.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred

Experience in a membership-based or recurring revenue business.

Experience leading high-volume guest-facing operations.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field.
