How this role contributes to the Y’s mission
As a Y Executive Director, you will be responsible for the daily operations of one or more Y Family Centers. You will provide leadership in the areas of associate hiring, supervision and development, volunteer management, fiscal management, financial development, membership and program administration, facility & equipment stewardship, community relations and personal‑professional development. You will develop, implement and monitor long range plans for the expansion of programs and services, in harmony with overall Y objectives.
You will be responsible for leading and growing Family Center operations of 3400+ household membership units and a combined budget of $2.8 million. As a Y Executive Director, you’ll contribute to the Y and to the broader community we serve by creating experiences that help people feel a greater sense of health and well‑being, purpose, acceptance and belonging.
- A love of wellness and people
- The ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children, parents/guardians, members, and other Y associates
- Prior experience supervising a 3000+ unit Y or related health & wellness center that provide services for all ages
- At least five years of prior experience successfully managing Health & Wellness, recreation, and youth programming field, preferably in a Y or similar organization
- A proven track record in business operations including producing growth and strong financial management
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business Management, Business Administration or equivalent

Additionally, associates and volunteers must complete training on child abuse prevention and comply with legal reporting requirements to safeguard youth.
