Project Manager, Project & Program Management, Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Overview

Plans, directs, and coordinates construction activities for a wide variety of industrial projects, primarily water and wastewater plants, factories, production facilities, and data centers. The role involves overseeing one large project or several smaller projects, ensuring that project goals are achieved within the prescribed time frame and budget.

• Initiate and maintain liaison with the prime client to facilitate construction activities.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Confer with project staff to outline the work plan and assign duties, responsibilities, and authority.
• Establish the work plan and staffing for each phase of the project, arranging for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Review project proposals or plans to determine timeframe, funding limitations, staffing requirements, and available resources.
• Review status reports and modify schedules or plans as needed.
• Prepare project reports for management, client, or other stakeholders.
• Provide technical advice and resolve problems with project personnel.
• Coordinate project activities with governmental agencies and subcontractors.
• Understand and analyze CPM‑based project schedules.
• Monitor and control construction via administrative direction of the on‑site superintendent to ensure the project is built safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Represent the company in owner progress meetings.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts and be responsible for project profit or loss.
• Lead the project team in daily field coordination meetings, weekly block schedule meetings, and monthly safety kickoff meetings.
• Mentor and assist with the career development of team members.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.

• Interview and hire staff.
• Train and plan, assign, and direct work.
• Appraise performance and reward or discipline as needed.
• Address complaints and resolve problems.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Professional Engineer credentialing not required but is a strong plus.
• 7+ years of experience and knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management.
• HVAC experience preferred.

• Understand and interpret safety laws and company policies and standards.
• Apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Have a thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards, and their impact on project activities.
• Possess superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be business‑oriented and able to assure responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively with others.

Expected annual salary range: $110,000 – $160,000 USD, plus profit share.
