Exempt; full-time; 40 hours per week;
Monday - Friday; 7:30 a.m.

This position manages and supervises the Office of Project Management, overseeing the planning, development, and execution of Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and maintenance projects. Responsibilities include assigning and monitoring projects, developing scopes and budgets for fiscal planning, and providing regular updates to internal stakeholders including DPW management, the Budget Office, and the County Executive’s Office. The position also administers personnel functions such as recruitment, performance evaluation, and staff development, and supports training initiatives to maintain industry standards and certifications.

NOTE:

The upper pay range reflects possible wage rates for internal County transfers and promotions, which are calculated per County policy. For external hires, offers are made at the base wage rate, with limited exception.

  • Supervise the work of professional and support staff members; administer related personnel functions
  • Manage and supervise the Office of Project Management for the planning, distribution, and execution of Capital Improvement Program and Maintenance Systemic projects
  • Develop new Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects including scope, budget, and schedule for the annual fiscal planning cycle
  • Provide ongoing support to DPW management, Budget Office, CIP committee, and County Executive’s Office throughout project development and execution
  • Monitor progress of project execution
  • Provide project schedules and updates
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly and monthly updates on project status, change orders, schedules, and staff workload to internal stakeholders
  • Administer personnel functions, perform personnel recruitments, conduct performance evaluations, and resolve personnel issues
  • Direct the review of construction plans for compliance with County policies, regulations and design criteria
  • Train new staff on job duties and participate in professional development activities including industry seminars and certification updates
  • Perform other related duties as required
