Clinical Manager – Ophthalmology Practice | Silver Spring, MD
A well-established group ophthalmology practice in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an experienced Clinical Manager to join their team! In this role, you'll oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational activities of your team, ensuring patients receive the highest quality of care.
What You'll Do
- Supervise a team of 6–8 Ophthalmic Technicians, monitoring productivity and performance
- Build and manage weekly staffing schedules
- Train, coach, and mentor clinical staff
- Oversee patient flow to keep the practice running smoothly
- Review and update clinical protocols as needed
- Develop staffing plans to meet practice needs
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new team members
- Set performance goals and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and recognition
What We're Looking For:
- COT or COA certification with 3+ years of experience in an ophthalmology practice, clinic, or hospital setting
- High school diploma required
- Previous supervisory experience required
