Partner with the Baker to consistently create high‑quality cakes for guests, meeting production demands and embodying NbC core values.
Accountabilities / Duties- Wash, rinse and sanitize all baking pans, dishes, utensils and tools thoroughly and in a timely manner, adhering to all NbC standards.
- Follow proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision while achieving productivity goals.
- Utilize measuring instruments, commercial‑grade mixers, ovens and other tools to bake cakes.
- Assist baker in accurately preparing raw ingredients, placing cake pans in a hot oven and monitoring the baking process.
- Assist baker with daily baking and production flow and processes.
- Adhere to proper packaging, labeling, storage and product rotation standards, maintaining baking and refrigeration logs.
- Clean, sanitize and restock the workstation, ensuring all baking supplies are prepared for the next shift.
- Comply with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
- Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.

- Understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents such as recipes, operating procedures and health and safety rules, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
- Basic U.S. units of measurement are understood.
- Perform repetitious, physical tasks requiring the strength to lift items up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Operate commercial‑grade ovens and other bakery equipment, working adjacent to a high‑heat source.
- Meticulous use of exact measurements, strict timing and tight, fast‑paced production schedule.
- Evaluate products, processes, information and surroundings to determine compliance with standards.
- Strict adherence to health and safety practices and work environment standards.
- Diligent, organized and self‑motivated, operating independently with minimal supervision.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- No formal education or work experience is required; previous experience as an Assistant Baker or in another operational support role in a bakery, restaurant or food service environment is a plus.
Must have flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.
