Equipment Technician Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills
• 2-4 years in print, direct mail, inserting, and/or fulfillment industry
• 2 years of electronic and mechanical troubleshooting experience on automated manufacturing equipment

• The Equipment Technician ensures machines are running at peak efficiency through proper set-up, adjustment, preventive maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs.
• Perform a variety of standard and prescribed duties to set-up, operate, and maintain mail inserter equipment.
• Work from schedules, samples, and instructions to set-up, run, and operate selective inserters.
• Coordinate with warehouse to ensure adequate material is available for assigned jobs.
• Check output for quality and make minor adjustments as required.
• Verify material for proper stock number/code against production order/sample.
• Conduct preventive maintenance: cleaning, checking, and inspecting equipment.
• Train operators on basic machine operations and on solving minor operation issues.
