The Manufacturing Supervisor I is responsible for supervising, directing, motivating, and training production staff to achieve company goals in safety, quality, and productivity. The role requires maintaining production schedules, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and managing a team of at least fifteen hourly personnel.
Responsibilities- Follow requirements of applicable national and international regulations.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations within the section, including staff interaction, goal setting, scheduling, maintenance, and tracking of production results.
- Provide a safe work environment and resolve any safety issues that arise.
- Provide training, support, and motivation to staff.
- Continuously improve product quality by analyzing, identifying, and eliminating root causes; implement corrective actions to increase efficiency, yield, and attendance of production, schedule, and overall quality.
- Coordinate and interact daily with support groups.
- Maintain section expenses within budget.
- Maintain proper inventory levels.
- Follow TMC Quality System requirements, including process controls, inspection procedures, document data control, and change control practices; promote compliance with TMC Quality System and Terumo’s policies.
- Participate in project performance team meetings to provide ideas, methods, or processes for unit and company performance improvement.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
(KSA)
- Ability to direct and motivate staff.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- General knowledge of GMP requirements and ISO standards.
- Prior exposure to safety issues and good manufacturing practices.
- Problem‑solving skills related to safety, quality, and productivity.
- Decision‑making ability based on production knowledge, maintenance, and improvement plans.
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a lead role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Rate of pay: $66,000 – $91,000 per year.
