Compensation: $100,000-$125,000 per year
We’re seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support custom, build‑to‑order HVAC product lines in a high‑mix, low‑volume production environment. This role is key to developing efficient processes, improving product flow, and ensuring high‑quality output for highly configurable equipment.
What You’ll Do- Develop and refine manufacturing processes that support custom HVAC assemblies.
- Create standard work, process documentation, and build instructions that drive safety, consistency, and efficiency.
- Partner closely with operations and engineering teams to resolve daily production issues and support custom build requirements.
- Support new product and option launches by providing DFM/DFA input and ensuring smooth hand‑off to production.
- Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for production‑related quality issues.
- Design or specify fixtures, tooling, and equipment to improve throughput, ergonomics, and repeatability.
- Estimate labor, build times, and production requirements to support planning efforts.
- Participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and optimize workflow.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in a custom or engineered‑to‑order manufacturing environment.
- Strong background supporting assembly processes for complex products.
- Working knowledge of Lean, CI methods, SPC, Kanban, and related manufacturing tools.
- Experience in high‑mix, low‑volume operations.
- Proficiency with CAD software (Solid Works preferred).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Background in commercial or industrial HVAC manufacturing.
- Understanding of HVAC components, sheet metal, piping, electrical integration, and final assembly.
- Experience proposing or implementing capital equipment or automation solutions.
