About This Role

We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:

The Manufacturing Program Manager (MPM) will serve as the primary Manufacturing Operations representative to program areas for both manufacturing and supply chain activities. This person will work across multiple supply chain disciplines and manufacturing operations, including multiple manufacturing locations to coordinate the timely, accurate, and complete execution of program requirements to include: IRAD, production, engineering development, and transition to production (TTP) activities.

Responsibilities
  • Represent Operations on the Program IPT’s supporting assigned programs
  • Represent program needs on the Operations Leadership team
    • Coordinate between operations functional leaders to ensure successful execution
    • Flow critical information both ways between operations and programs
    • Communicate program schedule and cost priorities
  • Lead cross-functional, multi-site teams through various execution activities including facilities and resource planning, manufacturing readiness, supply chain health, quality requirements, and process development.
  • Establish overall manufacturing schedule and coordinate details with operations Master Scheduler to ensure on-time completion
  • Coordinate program and design schedules with the manufacturing and supply chain
  • Establish and track execution metrics across operations and supply chain and report metrics to ELT as needed
  • Coordinate key purchases/sub-contracts with external supply chain to include flow down of all contract and quality requirements
  • Execute Operations CAM EVMS planning and execution for execution tasks including Operations labor, both support and touch, and material
  • Lead integration of production requirements/demands
  • Coordinate all Operations proposal inputs
  • Coordinate and support all Customer reviews and audits of operations
  • Facilitate Technical Interchange / Problem Resolution
  • Identify, Track, and Mitigate Risks
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Position requires a B.S. within manufacturing process development and/or industrial engineering or related discipline, and 3+ years of experience.

  • Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing; translates technical decisions/strategies into business terms and implications; produces clear, understandable documentation geared to all audiences.
  • Manages time and resources efficiently, focusing on ever-shifting priorities; continually seeks way to improve individual/team efficiency.
  • Exhibits an assertive personality with a strong bias for action with a results-orientation; tackles tough problems with firm deadlines.
  • Effective and expeditious problem isolation with demonstrable troubleshooting and corrective action skills.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communications skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to travel around 10-15% of the time.
  • Six Sigma Certified Black Belt or Green Belt Preferred
License and Certification Requirements
