HVAC Test Technician - 1st and 2nd Shift

Contract to Hire: $20 - $25 per hour (depending on shift and experience)

This entry level apprentice position is for HVAC Test Technician II. The ideal candidate must be able to perform the following analytical duties in a reasonable and productive time frame.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Demonstrate basic knowledge of refrigeration and electrical components, their use, and the proper operation of those components.
- Be familiar with HVAC systems.
- Interpret electrical schematics.
- Use basic industrial electrical knowledge to troubleshoot HVAC or environmental control systems.
- Assist a Test Technician II.
- Assemble fans and wire them for assembly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have GED or High School diploma, and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- High School diploma or GED.
- One to two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience prior to advancing to the next level.
- Ability to use all appropriate test equipment including meters, refrigeration gauges, etc.
- Ability to use safe practices when dealing with electricity and pressurized systems.
- Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization.
- Ability to work from verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to read and understand bills of material, piping, and electrical schematics.
- Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
