EDCO, a leading manufacturer in Frederick, MD, is looking for an experienced machinist to join our team.

The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. Good attendance is paramount to being successful in this role.

• Prepares raw bar stock and tubing for use in equipment parts
• Program, set up and run a Proto TRAK‑DPMRX2 or similar CNC mill
• Engineer setups on machines
• Deburr parts on vertical sander
• Push carts of raw material to proper shelf and unload
• Operate manual mill
• Operate stationary drill press
• Other duties as assigned

Incumbent shall have a High School diploma and a minimum of two years of prior relevant work experience or vocational training.

• Ability to read tape measure, micrometer and combination square
• Ability to interpret layout drawings
• Basic shop math skills and the ability to read parts prints
• Ability to mill, drill and sand
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours per day
• Routine bending and squatting to get parts off pallets and return finished parts to pallet
• Occasional driving of stand‑up or sit‑down forklift
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to work around moving machines, equipment
• Ability to use hands and arms (reach above head when necessary)
• Strong work ethic
• Good attendance/punctuality
• Ability to talk, hear frequently
• Ability to walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, etc.
