Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Mechanic A is responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and equipment. This role troubleshoots issues, completes preventive maintenance tasks, and contributes to a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH- Responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain and repair plant machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
- Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns and perform necessary repairs.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks as scheduled.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Rig, move, and install equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform fabrication work, including cutting, grinding, drilling, tapping, and basic machining.
- Replace bearings, align shafts, and install couplings and other mechanical components.
- Maintain an organized, clean work area and properly store the tools.
- Accurately document that the work performed is in the maintenance records or the CMMS system.

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean‑shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
- Competitive salary: $32.20/hr to start
