Manufacturing Technician-Stagging
The Manufacturing Technician-Stagging is responsible for assisting with all aspects of production and quality control testing of raw and process materials for the Transplant Diagnostics business.
Responsibilities- Ensure quality assay manufacturing by following standard procedures for dispensing biological reagents, reagent and buffer preparation.
- Print labels and label bottles, vials, and boxes.
- Package, seal, and scan assays.
- Perform production tasks on different product lines as needed.
- Manage the safe and secure storage and monitoring of inventories, products, and in-house supplies.
- Set up and operate equipment of moderate complexity.
- Update raw material inventories.
- Assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Solve problems that may arise in the department.
- Efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Assist the supervisor in all aspects of manufacturing processes.
- Maintain confidentiality of laboratory data and processes.
- Adhere to work schedules as assigned.
- Notify the supervisor or manager of any unsafe conditions and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Manufacturing experience with an understanding of GMP and production processes.
- Experience in staging and production support.
- Inventory management skills.
- Ability to organize oneself and maintain assigned work schedules.
- Proficiency in reading, understanding, and implementing written laboratory procedures.
- Capability to handle and work with biological and chemical reagents.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma with at least one year of laboratory experience.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and practices.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Science AS or BS degree is advantageous but not required.
Work in a Laboratory/Cleanroom environment. Frequent use of laboratory workstations, low-temperature freezers, and computer workstations. Some lifting of objects, including laboratory instrumentation, weighing up to 35 pounds. The position involves working on a 1st shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm or a 2nd shift from 2 pm to 10:30 pm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of FREDERICK, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.09/hr.
