A growing manufacturer of highly engineered, custom-built industrial equipment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and new product introductions. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-mix manufacturing environment where collaboration, innovation, and process optimization are critical to success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and throughput.
- Create and maintain work instructions, routings, process documentation, and standard work procedures.
- Provide hands-on production support by troubleshooting manufacturing issues and driving sustainable corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support new product introductions and custom product configurations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies.
- Support tooling, fixture, and equipment improvements to increase production effectiveness and operational flexibility.
- Analyze manufacturing data and process performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvements.
- Participate in root cause investigations related to quality concerns, production challenges, and customer issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting complex assembly or engineered-to-order products.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and process optimization techniques.
- Proficiency with CAD software and standard business applications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, assembly operations, automation, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and quality improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting capital equipment projects and process improvements.
- Base annual salary range of $100,000 - $115,000
