Pipe Assembler and Installer (2nd Shift)
Join our team to assemble and install pipes, tubes, and fittings, ensuring systems are pressure-checked and leak-free. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Read a tape measure to 1/8th inch accurately.
- Follow verbal instructions and use hand tools effectively.
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes using a Hydraulic Pipe Bender.
- Assemble and install various metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic.
- Connect pipes using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints.
- Increase pressure in pipe systems and observe connected pressure gauges to test systems for leaks.
- Use acetylene and oxygen torch set safely and efficiently.
- Train and work in multiple manufacturing positions, including assembly, paint, wire, and weld.
- Lift up to 50 lbs and interpret layout drawings, bills of material, and piping diagrams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and interpret layout drawings and piping diagrams.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and a tape measure to 1/8th inch.
- Experience with acetylene and oxygen torch set.
- Strong understanding of pipe assembly and installation techniques.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- At least 3 years of piping experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in the Manufacturing-Piping Department within a large facility. The environment includes assembly lines with benches and stations for various tasks such as assembly, piping, welding, and troubleshooting. Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme temperatures, fumes, and airborne particles. The noise level is moderate, with occasional exposure to wet and humid conditions, high places, and outdoor weather.
The shift is from 2:30 pm to 11:00 PM.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frederick, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
