Responsibilities
- Develop, qualify, continuously improve, and document manufacturing processes and methods
- Proactively support manufacturing operations to improve safety, quality, and productivity
- Interface with Safety, Quality, Sales, Design Engineering, and Production teams
- Ensure manufacturing processes support customer on-time delivery and satisfaction
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods to eliminate waste and reduce process variation
- Improve on-time delivery, reduce lead time, and reduce manufacturing, office, and field-service process costs
- Lead projects introducing new products, processes, and technologies throughout manufacturing operations
- Work in both office and manufacturing environments
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience/knowledge in discrete manufacturing
- Lean continuous improvement in a custom-configured, high-mix, low-volume, make-to-order business
- PLC and CNC programming for machine control
- CAD/CAM and MS software products
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, welding, pipe brazing, powder coating, wiring, and assembly processes
- Competency with SAP manufacturing software
- EH&S and IT knowledge
- Knowledge of ISO quality systems and requirements
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and understand English instructions
- Ability to sit, stand, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, talk, and hear
- Ability to walk frequently
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision; ability to adjust focus
- Lean Sigma Black Belt, PMP Certification, and ASQ QE Certification are listed under certificates, licenses, and registrations
Demonstrates expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance manufacturing processes, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Proficient in PLC and CNC programming, CAD/CAM software, and SAP manufacturing systems, with a strong foundation in discrete manufacturing and quality systems.
