Job Description

A Robert Half client is looking for a Donor Relations Coordinator. This is a multifaceted role, with a primary focus on development-related tasks, including fundraising, grant management, and the cultivation of strategic partnerships. This role also encompasses communication responsibilities and event management to ensure the organization effectively reaches its key audiences and hosts successful events.

1. Development and Fundraising (Primary):

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet the organization's financial goals.
  • Manage and maintain the donor relationship management (CRM) system, ensuring accurate donor records and prompt acknowledgments.
  • Conduct donor research to identify potential funding opportunities and partners.
  • Craft persuasive grant proposals and reports, proactively seeking new grant opportunities and overseeing the application process.
  • Collaborate with the Development Director to engage major donors and prospects effectively.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Play a role in donor stewardship and retention efforts.

2. Communications and Marketing:

  • Collaborate with the Communications and Digital Marketing Specialist to prepare content for various communication products, such as fact sheets, infographics, briefs, and more.
  • Assist in the design and distribution of marketing materials, encompassing fact sheets, scripts, PowerPoint presentations, and other collateral.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's overall communication strategy.

3. Event Management:

  • Provide support for the planning and execution of various events, including fundraising galas, conferences, and workshops.
  • Assist with logistics, guest management, and on-site coordination.
  • Contribute to the development of event materials and promotional campaigns.
  • Bachelor's degree in Development, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in development, fundraising, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in grant writing and proposal development.
  • Experience with donor relationship management systems (CRM).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
