Job Details
Position: Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) – Days
Location: Hospital for Behavioral Medicine, Worcester, MA 01606
Job Type: Full Time
Shift: Days
Compensation: $45.00 – $55.00 hourly (including shift differentials)
- Ensure coordinated delivery of patient care to meet standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy.
- Supervise staff assigned to the shift.
- Implement unit policies and procedures and serve as a resource for staff.
- Maintain unit compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and regulatory standards and patient rights.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and develop improvement plans.
- Assist in developing staffing schedules based on patient needs.
- Coordinate legal processes for patients and maintain accuracy.
- Implement Infection Control, Safety, and Risk Management policies consistently.
- Maintain and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment planning offered by Nursing Services.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing or possess equivalent education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Currently licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Nursing.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility.
- Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission, CMA, HCFA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- CPR certification and completion of CPI training within 30 days of employment.
- Prior experience assisting in restraining procedures.
- Sign‑on bonus of $10,000 (available to full‑time employees).
