Schedule & Work Settings- Full-Time: 30 to 40 hours per week (Typical shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
- Part-Time: 20 to 25 hours per week (Typical shift: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM).
- Standby / PRN:
Onboard immediately to be first in line as localized vacancies open up. - The Setting: LPNs primarily assist medically fragile students in a 1:1 capacity by monitoring and providing care throughout the school day in accordance with the student’s care plan. (
Note:
health suite opportunities are available but are uncommon and only serve to aid the overseeing RN).
- Safe and accurate Medication Administration.
- Diabetes management and tracking.
- G-Tube / MIC-KEY Tube feedings and care.
- Tracheostomy care and monitoring.
- Implementing necessary seizure precautions and protocols.
- Performing straight and Foley catheterizations as required.
- License:
Active, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Maryland or a Multi-State Compact license. - Certification:
Current CPR / BLS Certification. - Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience (RN or LPN backgrounds are both valued).
- Ro Health Onboarding:
Specialized paid pediatric skills training. - PGCPS Training:
Completion of Safe Schools Online Training and PGCPS Fingerprints
