American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a night shift position in a specialized oncology, thoracic, and bariatric surgery unit requiring chemotherapy certification.
Requirements- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy certification required
- Prior oncology nursing experience required
- Proficiency with chest tube management required
- PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Work in a 12-bed inpatient unit specializing in Oncology, Thoracic, and Bariatric Surgery
- Patient population includes oncology, thoracic, and bariatric surgery patients
- Typical patient ratio of 1:4, may increase to 1:5 depending on acuity
- Procedures include chemotherapy administration and chest tube management
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Rotating weekends required — every other weekend
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- Floating to Med/Surg/Telemetry as needed
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week travel assignment
- Facility is located approximately one hour from both Baltimore and Washington DC, offering a suburban lifestyle with easy access to city amenities
