Description
The Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) functions within the Scope of Practice outlined by the Maryland Board of Nursing. Helping patients with activities of daily living and other healthcare needs under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the safe delivery of quality patient care, while supporting unit operations.
Must be available for 1 week hospital orientation (8:00am-4:30pm) and then orientation within the unit - to be discussed with the manager during an interview.
Duties- Feed, bathe and dress patients.
- Serve meals, make beds and keep rooms clean.
- Set up medical equipment and assist with some medical procedures.
- Answer calls for help and observe changes in a patient's condition or behavior.
- Maintain secretarial skills – working with computers.
- Communicate effectively and work as a team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification.

Hourly range: $20.25 - $27.77. Pay is based on experience, skills and education. If position is part-time, salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.
