Main Purpose of Job

Provides supervisory oversight for planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the Assessment, Evaluation and Review Services (AERS) and Community First Choice (CFC) programs. Ensures compliance with local, federal, and state regulations, policies, procedures, and guidance. Directly supervises assigned staff, including orientation, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes. Leads program budget planning, preparation, implementation, monitoring, reporting, data analysis, and site reviews in accordance with state conditions of award and local health department guidance.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of experience as a Community Health Nurse plus one year of experience in an administrative, supervisory, consultative or teaching capacity as a Registered Nurse.

Candidate Substitutions (if applicable):

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of experience as a Registered Nurse for the required education.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse for the required education.
• Three years of experience in an administrative, supervisory, consultative or teaching capacity as a Registered Nurse for the required experience.
• Master’s degree in nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university for the two years of Community Health Nurse required experience.
• U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classification or Nursing or Health Care Specialist specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

• Experience with Assessment, Evaluation and Review Services (AERS).
• Experience with Nurse Monitoring or Community First Choice (CFC) services.
• Experience with home visiting in a nursing capacity.
• Experience working with patients who have complex care needs across all age groups.

• Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
• Motor vehicle operator’s license valid in Maryland for duties requiring automobile operation.
