Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide exceptional obstetric care for patients during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum stages. The ideal candidate will deliver family-centered care utilizing modern technology in a supportive hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and contractions using C-EFM or AWHONN Intermediate certifications.
- Administer medications and interventions per clinical protocols to ensure maternal and neonatal safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update care plans.
- Educate patients and families on labor progress, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Document all clinical observations and interventions accurately in patient records.
Qualifications:
- Current and active MD or Compact license in Virginia.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience.
- Valid ACLS, BLS, NRP, and C-EFM certification.
- Active fetal monitoring certification (C-EFM preferred; AWHONN Intermediate accepted).
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays; no call required.
- Proven experience with modern obstetric equipment and technologies.
