Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive obstetric care in a welcoming hospital setting. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, ensuring safety and comfort for patients and families.
Responsibilities:
- Guide patients through labor and delivery processes, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using advanced fetal monitoring equipment.
- Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, adhering to protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families about childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
Qualifications:
- Hold a minimum of 3 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience.
- Possess OB Triage experience.
- Maintain an active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license.
- Hold current fetal monitoring certification (C-EFM preferred or AWHONN Intermediate accepted).
- Demonstrate proficiency in patient assessment, care planning, and emergency response.
- Be willing to work night shifts (3×12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30).
