Registered Nurse – Mother Baby ​/ Postpartum

Mother Baby / Postpartum Rn Opportunity

Seeking an experienced RN for our Mother Baby / Postpartum unit. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care to postpartum patients and newborns, supporting overall maternal and infant health.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct postpartum assessments and monitor patient recovery throughout their stay.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide newborn assessment and support for new mothers, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Float to Labor and Delivery as needed to support LDRP services, excluding triage and circulating.
• Ensure compliance with fetal monitoring standards and maintain active fetal monitoring certification.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, adhering to hospital protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active MD or Compact RN license in Virginia or the applicable state.
• Possess at least 3 years of acute care RN experience, with antepartum and EFM experience preferred.
• Demonstrate fetal monitoring certification (C-EFM) at the time of submission.
• Be proficient in postpartum and newborn assessment and care.
• Be able to float to Labor and Delivery to support hospital needs.
• Maintain BLS certification.
