Registered Nurse – Mother Baby ​/ Postpartum

$2105.28/week –

Job Summary:

Provide specialized postpartum and mother-baby care in a hospital setting, supporting new mothers and newborns through assessment, education, and recovery. Flexibility to float to Labor & Delivery and cross-train for antepartum and postpartum duties is expected.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to postpartum and newborn patients according to hospital protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assess maternal and neonatal status.
• Support and educate new mothers on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Float to Labor & Delivery to assist with LDRP needs, ensuring smooth patient flow.
• Complete antepartum and EFM training, and cross-train for antepartum and postpartum duties.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experience.
• Possess an active Maryland RN license or a Compact RN license at the time of application.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Have Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification at the time of submittal.
• Demonstrate experience with postpartum and antepartum care settings preferred.
• Exhibit reliability in adherence to assigned shifts and hospital policies.
