American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a Hyperbaric unit requiring UHMS-approved 40-hour hyperbaric training and 2+ years of HBO experience.

• Work in the Hyperbaric department of a hospital providing hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and wound care services
• Care for patients with conditions requiring HBOT under a 2:1 patient ratio
• Operate hyperbaric chambers and ancillary equipment per UHMS and NFPA safety guidelines
• Provide preventive and supportive wound care in conjunction with medical staff
• Scheduled Monday through Friday, day shift (7:30a-4p), with no weekends

• MD or compact LPN license required at time of consideration, license required if applicable
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• CHT or CHRN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Completion of UHMS-approved 40-hour Hyperbaric Treatment training required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with wound treatments including alginates, foams, hydrocolloids, hydrogels, and wound vac therapy preferred

• Perform routine cleansing and maintenance of hyperbaric chambers and ancillary equipment
• Participate in emergency procedures and drills related to hyperbaric therapy
• First-time travelers will be considered if candidate is an experienced HBO Clinician
• Smoke-free facility
• No radius rule; local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Complete pre-start online training modules averaging 4-5 hours, due no later than 1 week prior to start
• RTO requests must be submitted with application and are reviewed on a per-case basis
