, in Frederick, MD is hiring an Urgent Care Locum Veterinarian to work in our well-equipped facility with our experienced and skilled support staff.

As a Locum Veterinarian, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our dedicated Urgent Care Veterinarians.

Vet Urgency is proud to offer an Urgent Care Relief Veterinarian $750 for a 6-hour shift and $1500 for a 12-hour shift, OR, 23% commission, whichever is greater.

  • With a patient care model designed to reduce the stress, time, and cost associated with regular ER hospitals while still providing an uncompromised standard of care.
  • We have an exclusive focus on specialty and urgent care medicine, no primary care, no overnights.
  • As a member of the Mars Veterinary Health, we can provide the resources to help more patients, enjoy unsurpassed clinician support, and be able to continuously identify new ways to improve our noble field.
  • We utilize cloud-based software platforms, digital radiology, ultrasound, a full on-site lab and other specialty level equipment.
  • We have the ability to consult with Boarded Surgeons in our shared space as needed, plus free on-demand tele-consultations with Boarded Criticalists through the Blue Pearl network nationwide.
What you need to excel at Blue Pearl:
  • DVM/VMD degree required and three or more years of urgent care experience.
  • Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
