We Are Hiring:
Quality Control Microbiology Technician I!

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QC Microbiology Technician I to support microbiological testing activities in a GMP-compliant laboratory environment.

Location:
Frederick, Maryland

Pay Rate: $25.00 to $29.00/hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform environmental monitoring of clean rooms including surface and air sampling
  • Collect and test water samples in accordance with predefined schedules
  • Conduct microbiological assays including:
    • Gram Stain
    • Endotoxin Testing
    • Sterility Testing
    • Growth Promotion
    • Microbial Identification
    • Bioburden Testing
    • Plate Reading
  • Execute and review visual inspection of final products
  • Perform data entry and prepare trending data for reporting
  • Support deviation investigations and address out-of-specification (OOS) results
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
  • Assist with general upkeep of lab spaces
  • Review and approve final product release test results
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in microbiology, Biology, or related field
  • At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a microbiology lab or environmental monitoring
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with environmental monitoring in controlled environments techniques such as environmental air monitoring, water testing, surface monitoring
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and cleanroom operations
  • Ability to gown for aseptic areas and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Strong knowledge of GMP and quality control protocols
