POSITION SUMMARY
This position drives continuous quality improvement and leads the team of QC inspectors & technicians in the production area. Also, ensures Company quality objectives are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for hiring, oversight, training, development and appraisal of departmental staff, including incoming QC inspectors, AOI/xray operators, final QC inspectors, quality technicians, and quality engineers
• Direct day-to-day activities and priorities of quality team members
• Ensure compliance with electronics manufacturing IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards
• Oversee completion of first article inspection reports and certifications of conformance from quality department personnel in a thorough and timely manner
• Ensure that standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation are maintained and adhered to
• Participate during third party audits with BSI, customers, UL, etc.
• Analyze and report on departmental level quality data
• Document and initiate corrective action and risk analysis
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university is required
• 3+ years of experience in an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company
• 3+ years of Quality management experience
REQUIRED/PREFERRED SKILLS
• Prior experience working with and/or implementing an AS9100 program is preferred
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001
• Knowledge of quality processes and standards
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, professional disposition and strong managerial skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
• Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines with changing priorities and schedules
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively
