Schedule4 days/10 hours. Day Shift (Sun‑Wed 7 am to 6 pm) OR Swing Shift (3 pm to 2 am). Contract Duration 12 months. Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 /hr on W2. Work Authorization: USC or GC only.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our commercial cell therapy production center. The role supports the Quality Control team in microbiological testing for clinical and commercial manufactured products, including product testing, microbial growth promotion testing, utility testing and environmental monitoring.
Responsibilities- Perform essential laboratory support functions to ensure integrity of microbiological testing and environmental monitoring in a GMP‑regulated setting.
- Maintain laboratory areas in a clean, organized, sanitized condition per established procedures and safety requirements.
- Perform environmental monitoring and/or utility monitoring, sampling classified manufacturing areas, utilities, and support systems.
- Receive, inspect, quarantine and store purchased microbiological media and supplies pending approval.
- Monitor biohazardous waste, coordinate safe removal and disposal with EHS personnel.
- Support validation, qualification, development and commercial manufacturing activities by executing assigned microbiological tasks.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, safety, environmental and company requirements while documenting activities accurately.
- Collaborate with Quality Control, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and other site functions.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Ensure duties can be delegated to trained deputies when needed.
- AA degree and 1+ years’ experience in a microbiology lab or environmental monitoring OR
- HS degree and 2+ years’ experience in a microbiology lab or environmental monitoring.
- Experience with environmental air monitoring, water testing, and surface monitoring.
- Experience in aseptic techniques and clean‑room operations.
- Ability to gown for entry into aseptic core and supporting areas and lift up to 25 lb.
- Ability to pass a vision exam for visual inspection.
- Knowledge of GMP, SOPs and quality control processes for commercial manufacturing.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced small‑company environment with minimal direction and ability to adjust workload based on priorities.
- Flexibility with schedule and ability to work overtime as needed.
