Quality Control Technician I, QC Lab Support (Sample Management / LIMS)

Immediate need for a talented Quality Control Technician I, QC Lab Support (Sample Management / LIMS). This is a 06+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Fredrick, MD (Onsite).

Pay Range: $20 - $21/hour. Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment.)

• Receive incoming samples, verify documentation, and accurately log sample data into LIMS.
• Support sample receipt, processing, aliquoting, and organization for release testing, stability testing, and retains.
• Label, store, and maintain samples according to established procedures and storage requirements.
• Coordinate sample transfers to internal and external testing laboratories.
• Manage shipping activities within QC functions.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, organization, and restocking of sample storage areas.
• Review QC laboratory records including chain of custody forms, processing logs, logbooks, and related documentation.
• Assist with deviation and investigation activities as needed.
• Provide updates during daily and weekly meetings.
• Participate in Lean Lab and Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Follow all safety, quality, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree; or
• Associate degree plus 2+ years of experience in Quality Control or biopharma laboratories in an FDA-regulated environment; or
• High school diploma plus 3+ years of experience in Quality Control or biopharma laboratories in an FDA-regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of GMP in a QC laboratory setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Visio, and related applications.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, small-company environment and adjust to changing priorities.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Sample management or QC lab support experience.
• Experience in a biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or FDA-regulated laboratory.
• Familiarity with LIMS and sample tracking/documentation.
• Understanding of chain of custody and laboratory records.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience in a regulated environment.
