The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $69,000 - $75,000
.
The above salary range represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Job SummaryThe Employee shall provide laboratory support by performing work on microphysiological systems (MPS), next generation sequencing, real time PCR, Nanostring, Luminex multiplexed immunoassays, basic/advanced sample processing, microbiology, and other molecular diagnostic techniques. The Employee shall execute scientific studies for PIs with minimal supervision, analyze and provide summarized data, assist in preparing technical reports, SOPs, and manuscripts, maintain laboratory equipment, and facilitate research execution.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Assist in developing and executing protocols for biomarker verification in BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 environments.
- Perform experiments at various biosafety levels as required.
- Support planning and execution of approximately 5 projects per year.
- Conduct next generation sequencing, Nanostring panels, Luminex assays, miRNA quantification, and other molecular diagnostics.
- Detect etiologic agents in animal, clinical, or environmental samples.
- Serve as laboratory supervisor for assigned spaces, ensuring safety and functionality.
- Assist PIs with SOPs, reports, and manuscripts.
- Perform sample collection, concentration, and processing, including DNA/mRNA purification from NHP and human matrices.
- Present protocols and data at weekly meetings.
- Contribute to quarterly and annual reports as needed.
- Provide data and SOPs for projects by the last workday of each month.
- Travel may be required (0-10%).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree minimum.
- Ability to work under deadlines, handle stress, and deliver results.
- Long hours and weekends may be necessary.
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
